THINGS HAVE BEEN SLIPPING BADLY
The new school year has already started.
The planned website update has not happened yet.
March is when the children take their exams, and April they start their new school year.
In the October visit last year the school fees were paid up to March 2017. Then last winter I had some illness which prevented me from travelling for a few months, and therefore, did not manage to get back to see the children enroll for the new year.
Also last year I started to record the children’s exam results to check on their progress, and intended to upload this onto the website so that sponsors and supporters could track progress if they wish. This is still not done. Now I am back in reasonable health and trying to catch up.

Don’t worry - The children have not been thrown out of school! When I realized that I could not visit the schools in March/April this year, messages were sent to the school masters, asking that they enroll the children for the new school year, and that I promise to make a visit as soon as possible to pay the school fees. They all agreed to this without any problems. The next visit is booked for 2nd week in June to take care of things and check the children’s progress. As for the website I will be working with Misha Kholin, who gives his time so generously, to design and update the website. |

Still work to do There are still children that need help This family is sleeping in a makeshift tent under a tree, living as nomads, The children have never been to school. Many of you have already given generously this year. If you have not yet made a contribution this year, and can afford something, now would be a great time. |
